Engaging with the UN: What did we learn?

Join us to share learning from CSW68!

Friday 10 May 2024

10-11am online

CSW is the key UN mechanism for gender equality. The CSW68 conference in March focused on women’s poverty and social protection, and achieved Agreed Conclusions, which emphasise actions at global level to tackle women’s poverty and are designed to inform UN policy and action. The question is, what does this mean, and how is it relevant to Northern Ireland?

This event will reflect on CSW68 and how it can support work on gender equality locally. It will highlight an example of action from Scotland, identified through connections made at CSW68 by the small delegation supported by Women’s Platform. It will also highlight how CSW influences international level policy and action, and how civil society can use this in advocacy at UK level.
