Ending violence against women and girls: What works?

Violence against women and girls is so commonplace as to be normalised, in NI and across Europe. The EU has a new Directive on violence against women and girls, and in Northern Ireland, the first Ending Violence against Women and Girls strategy aims to take joint action across sectors to turn these trends. This webinar will hear from experts in the sector on priorities to secure meaningful change, and will also explore how the EU Directive has been received across member states.

Join us to share perspectives on what we can learn from each other, and how to prioritise ending violence against women and girls!

Speakers:

Sonya McMullan, Women’s Aid NI

Irene Rosales, European Women’s Lobby
